stopping my meds

i just realized that i hadn't updated this blog since before i last saw my pdoc. i mentioned in that post that i wanted to talk to him about stopping my meds. i'm only taking one regularly now, and as i've mentioned the risks of the medication concern me greatly - and i'm not convinced it's helping.

after spending 45 minutes warning me of all the risks of going untreated, by getting off my medication, he agreed to let me try stopping the medication. as we are both conservative when it comes to meds, especially because of my history of reacting a lot to meds, i'm going to titrate down slowly, taking an entire month to come off of it.

so in about a month, i'll be off the last of the meds i take daily. hopefully then i'll be able to know whether this one has actually been helping or not, and hopefully all will go smoothly as i lower the dosage and once i'm off of it.
